Kenzie a New Zealand merino, angora and alpaca light worsted weight blend has a smooth, round 3-ply construction which into a cohesive tweed fabric that blooms when wet blocked. The angora haze is just fuzzy enough to lend a cozy feel, but not so fuzzy that it will obscure any stitch patterning.
Enjoy! 50 grams, 160 yard skeins of light worsted weight yarn. 50% merino wool, 25% nylon, 10% alpaca, 10% angora, 5% silk. US 6-7 (4-4.5mm). Gauge 20 sts = 4 inches. Hand wash cold, dry flat.
Note about yarn weight:
Kenzie looks and feels best knit anywhere in the range of DK to Worsted gauges. Hikoo chose worsted at 5sts/in, which is truly leaning more toward a light worsted, but that is not an option on Ravelry. Since the angora in the yarn blooms quite a bit once blocked, it is able to be knit at the worsted weight and fill in the space nicely. Do keep in mind, that it is versatile, and also creates a suitable fabric when knit at a tighter gauge, for example, a DK or about 6 sts/in, or at a looser gauge even down to 4 sts/in.
