Tunisian Crochet is a fun and easy technique that uses a special crochet hook and technique to create a textured versatile fabric. In this workshop you will learn the Tunisian Simple Stitch, often referred to as the Afghan Stitch. You will also explore how this basic stitch can produce many interesting color patterns as you learn to work on three different washcloths designs utilizing all three colors. The washcloth trio will be a great beginning into the Tunisian Crochet technique and once complete, your washcloth trio will make a lovely holiday gift. Yarn for this workshop must be purchased from our store and will be given a 10% discount. (Instructor: Lynne)

Skills Needed: Although it is not necessary to know how to crochet, you must know how to do a basic chain stitch.

Supplies:
  • 3 colors of 100% cotton worsted weight yarn 50 grams each (we recommended Rowan HandKnit Cotton)
  • Size J Tunisian Crochet Hook (included in workshop fee)
  • Scissors
  • Blunt Darning needle
  • Pencil
