Learn to knit socks toe up two-at-a-time!!! Imagine finishing your socks and not having to worry about knitting a mate. This is the cure to second sock syndrome. This workshop will demonstrate both two-at-a-time sock knitting using the magic loop technique and two circular needle technique.

This workshop runs for 3 sessions over 5 weeks. The first session will walk you through casting on and working up to the heel. The second session will cover the gusset and turning the heel. The third session will cover working the ankle and various bind-off techniques. This workshop is limited to 8 students. (Instructor: Lynne)
  • Session 1: Sunday, March 1st 1-4pm (3 hour session)
  • Session 2: Sunday, April 19th 1-4pm (3 hour session)
  • Session 3: Sunday, TBD (2 hour session)
  • Please note: The original date of 3/15 for session 2 has been cancelled. The date of session 3 will be set on 4/19.
Prerequisite Skills:
  • Students must be proficient with knitting in the round, increasing and decreasing.
Materials:
  • Yarn: 100g (400 yards+) of sock weight yarn wound into 2 50g cakes.
  • Needles: For magic loop you will need one 40"l circular needle US2. For two circular needle methods you will need two 24"l circular needles US2. Locking stitch markers are also needed.
  • Pattern included in workshop fee.

  • Yarn for this workshop must be purchased from our store.
  • Yarn and needles purchased for this workshop will receive a 10% discount.
  • Make-up sessions are unavailable. Please ensure you are available to attend all 3 sessions prior to registering.
