Description

Ever wonder how those beautiful Fair Isle yoke cardigans are made? Seems like an impossible knit? It’s easier than you may believe. Our Steeked Seamless Yoke Fair Isle Cardigan Workshop teaches you every step needed to knit your own Fair Isle yoke cardigan.

The seamless yoke cardigan makes a great first steeking project where you will learn many new skills such as how to calculate gauge, increasing, decreasing, weaving in ends, making phony seams, stranded color-work, short rows, steeking your sweater, and picking up for a button band.

If you have taken our Seamless Yoke Pullover Sweater workshop, this workshop is the next step. At the end of the workshop, you will have completed your very own Fair Isle steeked cardigan and have learned all the skills needed to design your own seamless yoke cardigan. Instructor: Lynne

Important Note: Students must be available for all workshop sessions and be committed to completing all homework for each class session so the workshop will remain on schedule.

  • 200 yards of worsted weight yarn in each of 4 contrasting colors for yoke (it is recommended you have one light tone, two medium tones, and one dark tone).
