Continue to develop your knitting skills by adding Magic Loop to your repertoire. Eliminate the need for double-pointed needles when knitting mitts, hats, cuffs and socks by using the magic loop technique. In this workshop you'll learn how to cast-on and knit a hat using the Magic Loop technique. Yarn for this workshop must be purchased from our store and will receive a 10% discount. (Instructor: Rhonda)

Materials:
  • 100 grams of chunky weight yarn (may be solid, tonal or variegated)
  • 1 40" circular needles in US10 (tighter knitters may use US10.5/11 and looser knitters may use US9)
  • 1 round stitch marker
  • Basic Beanie Hat pattern (free pattern distributed in workshop)

    • Prerequisite Skills: Students must be proficient at casting-on, knitting in the round, knit stitch, purl stitch and basic decreases.

    Homework:     Using US10 40" circular needles, cast-on 72 stitches using the Long Tail Method. (Tighter knitters may use US10.5/11 and looser knitters may use US9.)
